I served in the Army.

Francis Marion Davis the son of John Henry and Bess (Tyner) Davis was born March 28, 1927 in Cherokee County and he departed this life on November 9, 2018 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years, 7 months and 12 days.

Frank enjoyed life and he loved the Lord. He pastored for over 50 years in and around the Cherokee County area beginning at the Caney General Baptist Church. He moved on to the Etta General Baptist Church and later to Ray Mission. From Ray Mission he went back to Etta and then completed his service at Caney General Baptist where he began. He enjoyed being a pastor and he enjoyed going to events and church gatherings where there were a lot of people and food. He enjoyed eating and having good fellowship with family and friends. Frank also liked to fish and he enjoyed singing. Many lives were forever changed because of Frank and he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Susie; his son Vernon Davis; two great grandchildren Kole Blair and Parker Lynn Davis; six sisters and three brothers.

He is survived by a loving family which includes his daughter-in-law Kathy Fisher of Hulbert; his grandchildren Tony Davis and wife Samantha of Tahlequah, and Shelley Limore and husband Jeff of Stilwell; his sisters Vera Bush of Chicago and Wanda Winkle of Muskogee; a special cousin Elsie Keys; four great grandchildren Katelyn Blair, Taylor Davis, Fisher Nikole Davis and Haley McBride Davis; and one great-great granddaughter Karter Nikole Eversole.
