Andrew Jackson "Jack" Heaton was born in Hulbert, OK, August 20, 1934, to George and Martha Scott Heaton. They preceded him in death, along with his wife of 46 years, Sally Ann Mobley Heaton, and
his son Andrew Jackson "Andy" Heaton, II.

Jack died October 16, 2018, and is survived by his wife Shirley Ballew Heaton, daughter Julie Ann Parish, her husband, Gary Lynn Parrish and grandchildren Kelcie Lynn and
Andrew Jackson "AJ" Parrish, all of Oklahoma City, and one sister Betty Joyce Heaton of Tulsa, OK.

Jack grew up in Cherokee County and graduated from Central High School in 1952. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Northeastern State College in 1957 and following graduation enlisted in the US Army.
He started his military career in fort Polk, Louisiana and was honorably discharged in Munich, Germany. Before returning home he traveled 18 months throughout Europe. After returning home, Jack joined his father in business
where they operated several service stations. After selling the service stations he operated a tire business. In 1972 he was employed by Greenleaf Nursery Company as Director of Public Relations. Other duties included Traffic Manager and Catalog Production, where he was awarded as best in catalog publication nationwide. He also managed the Trade Shows
throughout the country.

He retired on December 31, 1999, after 27 years with the company. Jack was very active in the Tahlequah First Presbyterian Church. He was elected a Deacon in 1980 and appointed an Elder in 1981.
His walk with the Lord was very important. He stated many times how he was blessed by the group of people he worshipped and studied with at Hill Country Bible Church in Georgetown, TX where he lived the past six years.
Jack will be remembered most for his smile, friendliness and kind demeanor. In lieu of flowers the family wishes donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church in Tahlequah.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church, 315 E. Shawnee Street, Tahlequah, OK 74464.

Julie I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. I have fond memories of working with him at Greenleaf. Even on a person's worst day he could make you smile. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this most difficult time in your life. RIP Jack
