Earl Keith Sweet

Earl Keith Sweet was born January 4, 1941, in Welling, Oklahoma to George Henry Sweet and Opal Blanche (Moore) Sweet. He passed from this life on June 28, 2012, at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 71 years, 5 months and 24 days.

Earl was a truck driver for Willis Shaw where he worked for over 30 years until his retirement. He then worked for the Adair County Commissioner’s office for many years for Commissioners Butch Ogden and Danny Braden. Earl enjoyed woodworking crafts in his spare time.

Those preceding him in death include, his parents, one grandson, Randy Keith Catron, two brothers, Walter and Ammon Sweet and one sister, Eunice Treagesser.

He leaves behind a loving family which includes, his children, Keith Sweet, Troy and Marcia Sweet, Joe and Dana Sweet, Sean and Melissa Sweet, all of Welling, OK, Jake and Amanda Sweet, of Ft. Riler, KS, Becky and John Jennings, of Vici, OK, Kathy Sweet, of Tahlequah, OK, Kelli and Jr. Catron, of Welling, OK, Amanda and Justin Stromsoe, of Arroyo Grande, CA; two sisters, Lola Palmer, of Henrietta, OK and Carol Knowles, of Park Hill, OK. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends and loved ones.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Hart Memorial Chapel with Bro. Steve Treagesser officiating. Interment will follow at Caney Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home.
